Embedding our social purpose into work in her own unique way is Executive Edge Travel’s Co-Founder and Head of Leisure, Yvonne Verstandig. Inspired by author-activist Suzy Zail’s latest novel, ‘I am Change’, and coinciding with the evolution of Yvonne’s new design for travel-immersive journeys with meaning, Yvonne has designed a special Travel My Way journey to Uganda in November 2019.
Travel My Way – Uganda focuses upon empowering women and enabling young girls in Uganda and could affect real change in Africa.
Moved by the challenges faced by young Ugandan girls and the obstacles preventing them from reaching their potential, Yvonne is determined to offer support and make a difference.
Travel My Way Uganda
A big focus for Yvonne and the Travel My Way Uganda tour is about making a difference and giving back. The first half of the trip will be spent in Kampala visiting and supporting the aid organisations helping Ugandan girls improve their circumstances and achieve their dreams.
According to Yvonne, “It is about digging beneath the surface to discover life as it’s lived every day. What lies at the core of our success is our commitment to leaving a lasting benefit to the communities we meet. Our local networks help us tap into otherwise inaccessible opportunities, creating interactive and empowering experiences to transform our guests’ lives and make a difference to the people and places we visit.”
