The role you could play
In line with the significant growth and ongoing innovation of our business, we are seeking a passionate, experienced and values-aligned individual to join our Melbourne office, located in Caulfield North as a full-time Leisure Travel Consultant.
As part of the Connections Group, Edge Connections help clients or groups to plan domestic and/or international destinations, tours, accommodation, transport, insurance, visas and fares.
You will be empowered to provide professional travel consulting services to our corporate clients and their staff, build strong relationships with them, deliver excellent customer service and contribute to an effective, efficient and successful team.
Specifically the role will include:
Suggesting suitable travel options that best suit the client’s needs and budget.
Planning and organising where requested travel, accommodation, car hire, visas and insurance.
Building and maintaining effective relationships and communications with clients and suppliers.
Ensuring client expectations are met and maintained at all times.
Promoting additional services and offerings where appropriate.
Undergoing periodic systems and product training to ensure ongoing development and up-to-date knowledge.
Attending industry and client events where required.
What you will bring…
Cert III and IV in Travel and Tourism desirable.
Thorough knowledge of domestic and international fares and ticketing.
Sabre GDS and Tramada mid office proficiency.
Comprehensive destination knowledge and/or willingness to learn about international destinations.
Ability to diligently follow operational standards and business processes.
Well-honed written and oral communication skills, a passion for customer service excellence and a keen eye for detail.
