Founded in 2000, it all started with Executive Edge Travel in Melbourne, servicing both business and luxury travellers. The group then grew with the launch of Corporate Travel Connections (CTC) in 2010 which saw a quick expansion to other states including Western Australia in September 2010, Queensland in March 2011 and NSW in October 2011. Totem, our events specialist brand, joined the group in May 2014. During the growth period, CT Connections Travel Group was created to bring the brands together under one corporation.
Fast forward to 2018. What was once known as the CT Connections Travel Group is now Connections Group of Companies. Our decision to re-imagine our group branding enables us to showcase our collective brands, the interconnection between the brands but, more importantly, that together we stand as a group with the intention of providing a top quality travel service while using our platform to assist the greater good to play our part in improving communities, provide people access to employment and training, or help the environment.
Connections Group remains independently owned and employs 140 people across seven offices in Australia, with plans to expand to New Zealand, and collectively draws on more than 18 years of experience. Through strong brand values and strategic human efforts and connections, the company has consistently grown while staying true to its core business: customer-centric service.
So many companies talk about diversity and inclusiveness yet at our group, we get on with it. Our team is made up of 24 nationalities of which 79% are female. Throughout the Group more than three quarters of leadership roles are held by women.
